Plain English: Your data is yours. We never sell it. We never use it to train other people's AIs. We never share it between businesses. You can delete everything at any time. We collect only what's needed to make your Aunomy work.
1. Who We Are
Aunomy ("we," "us," "our") is a California-based company that provides AI-powered personal and business assistant services. This policy describes how we collect, use, protect, and share your information.

2.3 Information from Third Parties
When you connect services (Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook, Stripe), we receive data from those services as authorized by you. We access only what you explicitly grant permission for.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Service delivery: Operating your Aunomy — answering calls, sending texts, managing your business
- AI learning: Your Aunomy learns from YOUR conversations to get smarter for YOU. Your data is never used to train other users' AIs.
- Network matching: Your business name, services, and availability are used to match you with opportunities on the Aunomy Network
- Billing: Tracking usage to charge correctly
- Security: Detecting fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Improvement: Aggregate, anonymized analytics to improve the platform (never individual data)
4. Data Isolation — The Firewall
This is critical: Every customer's data exists in complete isolation. Your customer data is NEVER accessible to other Aunomy users, NEVER used to improve other users' AIs, and NEVER shared across the network except as explicitly described in Section 3 (network matching with your public business info only).
- Business A cannot see Business B's customers, conversations, or data
- Your Aunomy's memory is yours alone
- AI learning happens per-customer, not across customers
- Even Aunomy employees cannot access your conversation data without your explicit permission and a documented business need
5. The Aunomy Network & Data
What IS shared on the network:
- Your business name and industry category
- Services you offer (as configured by you)
- General availability (open/closed, service area)
- Trust score and aggregate rating
- Auto-response rules you've set
What is NEVER shared on the network:
- Your personal phone number or email
- Your customer lists or contact information
- Your pricing strategy or financial data
- Your private conversations
- Your personal life data (goals, habits, expenses, etc.)
6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We never sell your data. Period.
We share data only with:
- Twilio: Phone calls and SMS delivery (processor)
- Deepgram/Cartesia: Voice recognition and synthesis (processor)
- Groq/Anthropic: AI language processing (processor)
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Fly.io: Cloud hosting
- Google/Microsoft: Only when you connect your accounts via OAuth
All processors are bound by data processing agreements and process data only as instructed by us.
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
7. Data Retention
- Active account: Data retained as long as your account is active
- After STOP AUNOMY: Data retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted
- After RESTORE AUNOMY: If within 30 days, data is restored
- On request: You can request immediate deletion at any time
- Legal holds: Data may be retained longer if required by law
8. Your Rights
8.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and why
- Delete your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (we don't sell it, but you can still ask)
- Non-discrimination — we won't penalize you for exercising these rights
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Limit use of sensitive personal information
To exercise these rights, text your Aunomy "I want to manage my privacy" or email privacy@aunomy.com. We will respond within 45 days.
8.2 All Users
- Access: Request a copy of all data we have about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of all your data
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent: For any optional data processing
9. Security
We implement reasonable security measures including:
- Encrypted data at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL)
- Phone number-based identity verification
- Owner-only access for sensitive data
- Rate limiting and abuse detection
- Regular security reviews
No system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge this risk.
10. Children's Privacy
Aunomy is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. AI Training & Model Data
Your data is NOT used to train our AI models. Your Aunomy learns from your conversations to improve its service TO YOU. This learning is stored in your isolated database, not fed into any training pipeline. If you delete your account, your Aunomy's learning is deleted with it.
12. Cookies & Tracking
The Aunomy website uses minimal cookies for basic functionality. We do not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics that identify individuals. The website chat widget stores a session ID in local storage.
13. International Users
Aunomy is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via text message to your registered number. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
